The four leaf clover is said to be lucky. The four leaves represent faith, hope, love, and luck. In reality, the four leaf clover is a mutation of the Trifolium repens plant.

My husband has crazy good luck finding four leaf clovers. Before we met, I hadn't even seen one. Now, I seem to find them almost as often as he does. I attribute this to a change in perspective. My husband helps me to see things in a different way, and often challenges me to think outside of my traditional thought patterns. He encouraged me to become a yoga teacher.

Yoga has given me the opportunity to truly be present with myself. I've seen who I am and what I am capable of. I'll admit, when I first began practicing yoga I didn't like to spend time in my body. I didn't like who was in there. But I am not one to give up. I wanted to be good at it. I wanted to be all of the things that I thought yogis were- flexible, patient, kind, enlightened.

8 years later, here I am. I'm a yoga teacher certified with Yoga Alliance, happily teaching vinyasa, restorative, and flow classes that emphasize what your body can do right now. I encourage you to have compassion, acceptance, and love for yourself with each breath. I encourage laughter and a willingness to be present with the body and mind. I'm working on the yogi attributes- some days are easier than others. Yet much like hunting for four leaf clovers, you keep going on the chance that the next one will be it. The next day you will be patient. The next day you will nail that headstand. So what if you got banged up in crow pose this morning? Tomorrow you will find that four leaf clover.

Wherever you are in your journey, join me for a yoga class.
